I figured I should write from here briefly. I’m on the road, seeing some friends and family. I’m staying with my sister on Capitol Hill here in Seattle, writing this from Victrola, a local coffee roasting joint that doubles as a cafe. It’s the free internet that beckons us.

My parents fly in from Togo tomorrow! I’ve missed them a lot so it’s really exciting to have them back. That’s the other reason I’m here, to drive them to Pullman from Seattle so they don’t have to do it themselves.

For those of you wondering, I’ll be in Seattle until Thursday, then Pullman until next Monday when I’ll return to Spokane for a few days. Things get a bit uncertain from there because I need to go visit my grandparents and aunt/uncle that following week. But I’ll be back to Spokane a few times before peacing out, so feel free to drop me a line if you’d like to see me and we’ll get it worked out.

I’ll drive down to Texas with my dad starting on September 6th, and from there I’ll start training and head to Haiti for 10 days. There should be a gap between training and joining the ship, a couple of months by the sound of it. So we’ll play that by ear as well. If I’m on top of things there may be a film project that falls into that space, which would be a lot of fun.
