Over the past few months one of my more challenging tasks has been to nail down what exactly my job description is. I had numerous conversations that gave me similar frameworks for my job, but with plenty of conflicting information thrown in.

As I finally piece it together I’ve been given a very comprehensive overview of my job and the responsibilities I have along with the purpose of my position, overall effect on the ministry, etc. And when I  say comprehensive I mean comprehensive, 18 pages comprehensive.

But one line caught my eye in particular and I thought I would share it with you all in case you wondered what it took to do my job. It reads, and I quote:

“This person must have a proven servant heart, for they will often be unappreciated, insulted, despised and rejected.”

I guess I do need more prayer than I originally thought.
