I made it to South Africa last night, all in one piece and none the worse for the wear. I can’t get on Facebook to tell anyone because they’re convinced I must not really be me. Anyways, just wanted to get it out there that I’m alive in case anyone felt the urge to check. I’m presently in Applesbosch, a community outside of Durban where we were given the use of a college campus while the ship is in dry dock. I should be headed to the ship in a week or two.

Thanks for your prayers, the trip was as uneventful as I’ve ever had one be. More updates as they happen. I’m just hoping not to get bitten by one of the Black Mambas or various assortments of Adders they have living in the grass around here… more fun stories anyone?
