Here are some photos from the drill we were called to yesterday. It’s a strange one because there were no fires involved. Instead, members of the fire teams jumped in the water next to the ship (which is loaded with all sorts of nasty treats) to help rescue a diver.

We took the drill nice and slow so everyone could understand their part and what to expect. It was fun to watch our friends get all gross in their tiny life vests. And in the end it’s cool to know that our captain and officers are thinking through potential safety problems like this ahead of time.

Good work playing dead, too, Tim. Even though you were fine at the beginning of the drill. Glad to see you were willing to sacrifice yourself to save Dan.
